Microprocessor, microcontroller and PC programming

The bottleneck in the way between the idea about an innovative system, which at present are almost invariably based on embedded information technology, and its arrival to the market, in most practical cases is related to the time and cost required by the software development.

In this context we present to our visitors and customers our software writing capability for embedded systems, focused in those projects requiring high speed of execution, or strict hardware economy, implying the programming of the software in the machine or assembly language specific to each microsystem, wether you rely on a microprocessor, microcomputer, PC or Macintosh.

Closely related to software development, are our capabilities to adapt existing code to new tasks, reverse engineering of software written by third parties, code maintenance, documentation for third party software, code migration to new platforms, and so on.

Key advantages

  • Obviously, this capability is available elsewhere in the world, but nowadays, the Internet allows us to perform this kind of task off site, from distant locations where there is a chance to make it at an international quality level, but at prices extremely attractive.
  • Ciber Engineers operates a wide network of engineers, usually employed by corporations dedicated to microsystems programming, or working freelance, who have time available. Most of these engineers are based at places with a notorious competitive edge like a local currency very cheap compared to the dollar or euro, and/or availability of highly trained and widely respected professionals.
  • The highly flexible nature of our organization allows us to offer world class jobs, at a highly competitive cost, on demand, at very short notice, as is required most of the time. If our basic organization is not capable to meet your deadline, we simply enlarge it with previously recruited engineers, to deliver our guaranteed final product, just on time.

Capabilities

Even when we are fluent in most usual programming languages, our main area of expertise is in machine language programming, specific for each microprocessor or microcontroller, or, in most cases we prefer assembly language (given a compiler is available) which is easier, faster and more reliable. This programming method produces highly compact software, with minimal hardware and memory requirements, particularly suited to problems demanding the highest speed a given hardware can give. That is why it is highly appreciated by those who want the best possible product at highly competitive prices.

Although our experience is spread around most existing microsystems, we prefer to concentrate on the chips from Motorola, particularly with the following processors:

MC6800, its family and derivatives
MC68000 its family and derivatives
MC68HC11 and its relatives
